We are delighted to offer freeze-dried wild Maine blueberries from the Passamaquoddy Wild Blueberry Co. The Passamaquoddy tribe owns and manages over 2,000 acres of barrens (wild blueberry land), the largest tribal-owned blueberry company in the world. The Passamaquoddy and other Wabanaki tribes have been harvesting wild blueberries by hand for centuries in keeping with the seasons and their values of stewardship and commitment to caring for natural resources.
Packaged in a one-ounce resealable package, freeze-dried berries have just about all moisture extracted compared to dried berries, which are chewy. Freeze-dried, once rehydrated, will immediately resemble and taste like thawed berries.
